Waste Management Inc. Members Ratify Contract
Teamsters members voted 56 – 11 to accept a four year contract with Waste Management. After late night negotiations Local 330 and Waste Management addressed concerns of The Union and Company.
Waste employees will switch to a company health plan. In exchange Teamsters employees received increased pension contributions, guaranteed overtime after eight hours, and will enjoy an extra holiday.
In addition workers received a 21.7% wage increase, and reduced the time to obtain "top rate" from four years to two years.
President Dominic Romanazzi and Business Agent Nat Servino worked tirelessly to Secure an equitable contract.
